Six steps of hand hygiene

Each step takes about 5 seconds. Therefore, the duration of applying the sanitizer is approximately 30 seconds in total. Repeat each of the below steps until the prescribed time for the sanitizer to soak your hands is reached.

Step 1
First, pour an appropriate amount of sanitizer into the palm of your hand and rub your hands together. Also, wipe your wrists with sanitizer.

Step 2
During this step, rub the back of your left hand with the palm of your right hand. Then, repeat this step, rubbing the back of your right hand with the palm of your left hand.

Step 3
Palms facing each other, fingers crossed and rubbing against each other.

Step 4
Then, hold each other's hands and rub each other.

Step 5
Don't forget to rub your thumbs! Rub the right thumb in the closed left palm. Repeat this action, rubbing the left thumb in the closed right palm.

Step 6
Finally, hold the fingertips of your right hand and rub with your left hand, and vice versa.
